Group Piano

Your teacher desires to give your child a strong foundation of musical skills and knowledge. Students are expected to have a keyboard or piano at home to practice on. During class, students will sing songs, move to music, play piano and other instruments, learn to read notes on the staff and rhythms, and practice listening skills. A portion of the class is devoted to giving your child one-on-one time with your teacher to assign practice homework. There are two teachers in every class.
Group piano is a nurturing and creative environment and
is the best way to begin music education. If your child age
4—12 would like to learn any instrument, starting with
group piano gives your child an advantage because of the
experience and time spent on music reading, rhythms and
ensemble playing, theory and music appreciation.
Students who start with group piano will stick with lessons
longer than those who start in private lessons. The classes
are fun-filled and always changing to meet the needs of
the students.
Completing all three levels of group piano can take anywhere
from 2 years to 6 years. Every student moves at his
or her own pace.
There is a $35 registration fee and tuition is
paid monthly. Group piano runs Sept—April
only.
